My name is Bill and Ive been married to Maureen for 38 years. We have two adult daughters, Wendy and Sarah. I was born and raised in Hartlepool, which is on the North East Coast and still live there today.

Ive been a member of my local camera club for 23 years. Walking in the Lake District led to my interest in photography as I wanted to be able to capture some of the magnificent views from the likes of Skiddaw or Catbells when out walking with the family.

After much investigating I purchased my first real camera, a Canon T50, I then progressed onto a Canon T90 which I had for quite a few years, but the old eye sight started to fail and I moved onto an auto focus and got a Canon EOS3. Jumped into the deep end and went digital getting a Canon 10D, big step considering Id hardly used a computer!!

I enjoy taking landscape/seascape photographs, people, which I generally take at History in Action events, Wartime events at Pickering, Whitby Goth Weekend etc.

Previous to joining this website I had only ever shown my photography at club competitions etc, this site allows you get opinions from other likeminded people, helping me to develop my photo taking and Photoshop skills.
