Shot same day as the flamingoes, but in this case it was the very last light of the day, I had put my camera away because the light was so poor then there was a last burst of sun and a minute or two later it was gone.

As an aside, I was taking photos of birds when a mini bus of photographers stopped by me, there were about 6 of them and about a quarter of a million dollars worth of kit, they all had 2 professional SLRs and usually 300 400 or 500 f 2.8 marque lenses, sometimes all three! This was a jpg shot with work's Sony H5!

Your Sony served you well Steve.
Just read with interest today in a critique by banehawi
that compacts do a lot of in camera corrections, as opposed to SLR's
where we are in control of the processing.
That explains to me why indoor images taken on compacts are often much better than my attempts
with SLR!
