rhythms of grace

rhythms of grace by cirrusminor

Quote: Nicely composed with a well balanced exposure. The water movement and clarity of detail in the foreground are excellent.
Derk

My thoughts exactly.

Very well controlled shot.

Hi Paul. This certainly looks sharper, but as you've taken the original down, I can't compare Sad

As before, a great composition.

Nicely processed. I agree about the leaves top left. A little distracting.

Yup, great light. I like how it highlights the old tin mine, (I presume that's what they are?), buildings. Their clean lines contrast very well with their rugged surroundings.

V1 for me. Too much detail lost in V2.

I think the HDR treatment works reasonably well, giving a graphic like quality, on all but the sky. Here it is just too much.

Maybe blend in the sky from the original to make it more "real"?

Loch Leven Mist

V2 for me. I prefer the slightly crisper look plus the island stands out a little better against the background.

Having siad that, I can see why you couldn't chose between the two! Smile

Ideally suited to mono. A great range of tones.

THE HILTON

THE HILTON by GERRYGENTRY

V1 for me. V2 is OK but I don't think there is sufficient variation in tones to make it work as well as the colour version where the subtle colours work well together.

A fine result indeed. Good combination of techniques.

Congrats on the award.
