Remember the old Martini advertising line, "Any Place, Anywhere, Anytime"?

Would suit Landrover too as this Defender would prove.

The road to Welney in the the Fens is frequently flooded to depths of up to 8 feet, as shown by these handy "depth gauges" at the start of the flooding.

On Saturday it was only to about two and a half feet according to the driver of this well kitted out Defender who got through without too much ado.

Three shots at 1 ev apart, mixed and tonemapped in Photomatix.

Thanks for looking.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to go against the grain here Martyn.

I feel the tone-mapping is a little heavy and there are some issues with mapping halos around the Landrover that need addressing for me. I like the composition of the shot, but the tone mapping needs adjusting to pull this off.

Congrats on the HC though.

Hi Paul.

I can see what you mean re the halos, but I don't necessarily think this is all down to the processing, although with a little more work, I accept that it could perhaps have been dealt with.

I have added the original underexposed shot as a variant, and you can see that there are some quite bright areas surrounding the Landrover already.

Perhaps a little burning in these areas could have helped lessen the haloing.

I appreciate you taking the time to comment, and thanks for the congrats.

one of the best HDR images I´ve seen for a while! Brilliant work! NO halos seen here though....I have used Monaco Optix Pro colorimeter to calibrate my Eizo...have I done it properly, I´m not sure though ???

Congrats on the HC! Well deserved! IMO

Thanks Linda, Jouko, Cassie & Hendrik, appreciate you taking time out to comment.

Jouko, judging by the quality of your own images, I'd say your calibration is spot on, but as I said to Paul, I do know what he means.
