Sail Power

Sail Power by RLF

Great image. I love the monochrome effect.

A good looking barque too, sitting gently at anchor; smashing

Self-Portrait

Self-Portrait by jnrmclean

I've too have been playing around with Self portraits lately! SO much fun

That's a good effort, in difficult lighting. Play with Fill Flash to assist you, as i'm sure you're not that pale.
(Cloudy or Shade WB adds free warmth)

I'm guessing the camera was quite close to you there??
Try positioning the camera it about 15 feet away, (maybe slightly less if you're limited to 55mm) zoom in then nail it. The definition and proportions will be a lot better.

I like how the window sill guides your eyes into the shot and your eyes look very sharp, which is a must :0)

What a shame...a wonderful portrait shot, spoilt by the thumb/finger bottom left.
Great sharp eyes, wonderful skin tone with a balanced contrast.

Just a pity about that thumb :0(

Another wonderful example of a really obvious but never taken shot.

A lovely composed shot. I especially like the texture of the stone wall behind the buckets.

Smashing,

"Campsie View"

"Campsie View" by RonnieAG

Ah, a braw picture of the motherland.
Living in the South of England now, the "natives" don't get it when I say that I miss seeing hills, even a wee one like this! This is exactly what i'm missing.

A splendid shot, of a lovely part of the world.

Good capture Grin

Lingerie

Lingerie by interchelleamateurphotography

I like this shot. She exhibits a natural beauty, and the eyes are really sharp.

My only dislike is that the tattoo isn't readable, which is a distraction.
Either sharpen it up, or cut it out; otherwise it's a tantalising shot.

Nice work,

Stevie

p.s. I'm a beginner myself, so won't give you any feedback on the settings or technical areas.

Bright, colourful and razor sharp.

A cracking interesting image,

This is just the sort of image I like.

Something SO obvious, that no one ever photographs it, but it's a great shot and the monochrome fits in perfectly.

Would have caught my eye too.
