Another photo taken with my compact at the Ashmolean. I just liked the simple geometry and the single figure. This building I loved, for its use of geometry and light.

This was shot through glass looking towards the stairs, and the scene did give my compact a few focusing problems. No flash, just hand held.

Excellent results for a compact and through a glass. Love the simplicity of it. I would clone the guy more within the rule of thirds, but that is just my personal taste. Well done. Click, Mabelle

I love the simple pattern with the figure for human interest. I think it would be even better in black and white. Well done.

I really like the geometry of this shot. Very linear and clinical.

Composition works very well, and the pastel shades contrasted by the figure in dark colours is perfect. Considering that you were up against it with a hand held compact through glass you have shown us that it is all down to seeing an image and not how much you can spend on kit!

Thank you for your thoughts. I did think about a black and white version, but the glass colours and warm light help it in my eyes.

I was originally taking the image thinking it would be black and white.

It is going to be in the Western counties Digital projection competition so I wait to see how it gets on.

Thanks I forgot to say it was the top marked entry for the club scoring 5/5 from one judge. So made me happy Smile
