Just a bit of mucking around with my camera, not the best location but it was an experiment to find lighting conditions etc so I can do it properly later

Thanks for the comments. I was actually playing with light on the paint as I have spent a bit of time improving the paint finish and getting some glossy shine in it. Its doing a couple of laps at lunch time of the silverstone race meeting this weekend so wanted it to look good.
I'd have a go at doing some shots both with and without the lights on from the same camera position - try your HDR with 2 stops between, +2 -2 and 0 EV.
cars are ace subjects ![]()
would be better if it was an M3 LOL , Im a bit confused the tags say HDR but wheres the HDR,
The M3 is for people confused about their gender, so not for me ![]()
RE HDR thanks, if you cannot see that I used HDR then I must be getting close to the desired look.. If you took one exposure you can have the car exposed as is but no detail in the sky and the lights burnt out, or the lights and sky OK but no detail in the car.
