That's interesting. There's much more detail in the PhotoMatix version was it not possible to get that on the PhotoEngine version. Or if that was your desired affect was it not possible to pull back the PhotoMatix version?

I used the current default settings in both, unfortunately I no longer have PhotoMatix. I will have another go at PhotoEngine today.

Out of interest which do you prefer?

overall i prefer the more natural look of v1 even though v2 has more detail.lesley

I have found it possible to get 'photomatix' style detail with Oloneo, you just need to push the sliders to their limits, however I prefer the subtler effects of Photoengine, hopefully they won't want to charge a fortune for it as I have been converted.

Definitely prefer the 'au naturel' version.

Great image - V1 for me

Umm - like both versions for different reasons. As they have totally different feels, can't prefer one.

I love this , but i think a combination of the two images would be superb, i like the chairs and yellows of V2 with the lighting on the poster also, but the model of V1 would make a great combo.

I'm with Sue, I like both for different reasons. V1 for its acid attack. But V2 is so much more tactile.

Strong preference for #1. The Photomatix version makes the seats look filthy. Photoengine makes them look bathed in a strange light.
