Think it is Corn Cockle, classed as a weed but sadly now quite rare in the UK on account of the extensive use of herbicides.

Watcha Stewart,
well taken natural history.
It looks like some form of Geranium or Erodium, perhaps, Common stork's-bill,Erodium cicutarium, or, Herb Robert, Geranium robertianum. Leaves are not distinct.
