Wow, lucky you to get so close! This would look good cropped in very close (or changing the cam to portrait orientation).

Could it have been moisture on the lens. Low camera angle, presumably the lens was pointing slightly upwards and judging by the ground it was raining/drizzling or the cars were kicking up some spray. Causes a nice effect though!

Personally I'm not keen on the 'green sky' thing. Not sure if this was intentional?

Would probably benefit from uploading a slightly larger size and watching the JPG artefacts (probably a result of compression).

I'm not quite sure why but I really like this. I think it is something to do with the 'abstract' feel to it. You say it is a vat of barley, but I was trying to work out what it was before I saw the description. Could be a pile of rocks or a pile of sand. There is nothing in the pic to give a sense of scale other than the depth of field (which suggests something small). Waffling here, but I think what I'm saying is I like it because it isn't obvious what it is!

Lovely portrait of a pretty little girl, but I find that circular thing hanging from the tree distracting. You could probably sort this with a different crop or editing.

Also, you need to watch your framing. You would have been better off including the feet and chopping out the stuff above the fence!
