taken on a recent holiday in Fiji. The herons came onto the beach whenever the tide went out to feast on the crabs.

Love the shadow of the Heron looking for crabs . Nice if you could get in closer . I suppose that holiday has finished now ?

thanks Mavis....yes, the holiday has finished but I've got loads of photos to sort through now.

Cropped the heron in closer which gave slightly better detail. Pic was taken at some distance, went into the digital zoom area & lost a lot of the fine details on the bird ....was really pushing the boundaries of the camera.
