This is a beauty. Why not sell one of your organs instead, and keep the lens?

An amazing shot with a sad story to add to it saying that you are going to give up bird photography.

Personally I think you are completely mad giving these types of shots up & I would put money on it, that you will miss the 300 F2.8 when its gone. Think carefully!

Vince

Added bit: Even though I don't comment much on your work or others on here, I do spend a lot of time viewing & your images are simply outstanding, good luck in what ever you decide to do next.

I too am sorry that you are giving up on birds, the quality of this shot in particular is superb, and your use of dof is excellent.

Second Vince's thoughts on this, although I'm not sure what cost are involved in your pursuit of bird images but I for one will miss seeing the amazing birds that you capture from your part of the world.

Excellent work.

Lovely work & yes it does have a painted quality to it.
I'm stunned that you are even thinking about giving up this type of photography, your beatiful images will be missed by many I'm sure,as we don't get the oppertunity to see this kind of wildlife. What a shame..please have a re-think....??
