Beautiful.

I think letterbox was introduced to film because with having two eyes aligned horizontally we view things more in a horizontal plane than vertical or square, so a greater width than height is often a better choice. Certainly seems to work here.

Framing does work. As always the picture is the most important and it's a cracker.

P.S. had to take my 150mm back...compatibility problems with camera and autofocus was very slow. Now with canon 100mm Smile

I think it worked so well I stole the idea for my upload, sorry hope you dont mind!? Smile

The framing and presentation is good but its the image that takes centre stage for me. I can see why Pete gave it an HC, it has a lovely composition, the subject is pin sharp and the colours combine nicely with the flower.

Was it taken in the wild?
