Beautiful Su and very fitting to dedicate it to Brenda. A very beautiful bird indeed, gorgeous colours and beautifully composed. I wish you both a wonderful life together.

PS who said dreams dont come true? ![]()
Yes, this is my favorite sunbird yet. The colour is fantastic. LOL - Maybe I'm being selfish, but I want to see a closeup of this one in portrait orientation!

Patrick, thanks for the thoughts on vertical crop. As is, the bird is a softie. Shot taken with a 1200mm combo (300mm + 2X + 2X), lots of glassware (child's play super tele quality) optical degradation quite evident. Don't know what to call it but if you take a look at the wire there seem to be a halo at the edges. Light convergence (if I am not mistaken) is quite bad. Bird is not more than 3inch, range 20 ft. That power cable is about 1/2-3/4 inch diameter. Considering all that I am quite pleased with the shot, and it's sentimental too ![]()
Thanks to everyone for your inputs as well. Very much appreciated.

Francis, thanks for taking your time and effort in commenting. It's a little black bird with stunning red running from the tail to head. Looks like a bad paint job ![]()
Regarding the brightness on different monitors, I am scratching my head still on how to arrive at an optimal setting. I am quite lost actually, but I do make comparisons between two types of monitors, LCD & CRT. Have to settle for something in between. Thanks again.
