A plane taking off at North Weald Bassett, Essex.
Gary, a shame it couldn't have been a second later so it was silhouetted against the sky - but I know how difficult that can be!
Have you sorted out your forum query about upload size - if not I will add something to it which I find works pretty well.
Thanks Wendy i would appreciate any advice, I am using Photoshop 7 and have started to use the save for web feature but im not sure if im going about things in the correct order my last couple of uploads seem better but i would be grateful for any help - Gary.
Gary, like you I am using PS7 and am also relatively new to uploading. Try reducing your image to 5.8" x 4.1", 300 ppi. Then modify the ppi to 72, and change the pixel width to 500 (height goes to 355 approx). Do your save...don't know if that is the 'accepted route' but generally it seems pretty effective, just occasionally one seems to lose a bit of detail. I used save for web initially but had problems (?due to ntl) so have gone back to save as...hope that helps, Wendy
Thanks for your help i will try this method soon , if you are having trouble uploading with ntl broadband i know how to fix this problem as i have ntl broadband, when i uploaded i used to get corrupted pictures i could only upload with my dial up modem but since i found a fix everything works perfectly if this is your problem i will tell you which settings to alter - Gary.
Wendy, Have just realised it was you who had trouble with broadband before did you try the fix i put on one of your previous forum discussions ?
Morning Gary! I didn't realise you were my saviour either - but just checked and yes you were and I've had no trouble since, thanks! Mind you, noticed slowdown in number of comments recently, maybe that's 'cos there are so many to go through ...or perhaps they aren't to people's liking!
Wendy ,I think that so many people are now uploading images this means they only stay on the front page for a short while a lot of people cant be bothered to go to the next pages which is a shame, maybe the 2 uploads per day limit will help matters. - Gary.
Let's hope so! I'll look at yours if you'll look at mine LOL
I noticed nothing at all seems to have been uploaded since the 5th - perhaps the hot weather has got to them...or did I miss a message saying they were on holiday!
