Blowhole... by Scottishlandscapes

Right place, right time... and the great light at that time of day really makes all the difference.

Loved all the images so far - they take you back to a much simpler time - and can't wait to see the last.

Bad day?

Bad day? by franken

Great candid/street photography/social documentary image that really tells a story... and the mono conversion only adds to the sad mood of the image. Well captured and presented.

Super mono image Paul... wonderful view, nice dramatic sky, great range of tones and wonderful lead-in to that shaft of light. Another example of making the ordinary, extraordinary!!! Smile

Stunning shot with the contrasty mono treatment perfectly suiting the location.

HEN CLOUD AND THE ROACHES

HEN CLOUD AND THE ROACHES by p147180r

Beautiful panoramic landscape, however I would probably try to lift the lighting in the shadow areas a touch to show a little more detail.

Great characterful portrait, beautifully lit and the mono treatment suits it perfectly. Well done!!! Smile

Shropshire Sundown

Shropshire Sundown by Niknut

Beautiful sunset to provide the back light to the silhouette... however I might be tempted to crop the top to below the large patch of blue sky and give it more of a panoramic feel. Smile

Great sky to go with the lovely scene... and a good range of tones in the mono conversion. Top shot!!! Smile

Herdsman's Colours

I can understand croping a little from the top of the previous image, just make sure you don't crop too close to the top of the mountain. Sometimes, a little space is needed, otherwise it can look a little cramped.

Its shots like this that make people want to move back to the country... very peaceful and a much simpler way of life.

A great wildlife shot there Dave... and I like the 'family' feel to it.

Bridging by woolybill1

Dark and moody with an abstract quality provided by the different bridge elements... and the mono suits it perfectly. Well done.
