I like this picture I took it at Batemans on the pond I think it has come out quite well.

It appears that the focus of the shot was on the leaves preceding the two lilies since the detail seems sharper there
it might just be me but it looks like the two lilies are caught out on no mans land somewhere between the sharp foreground and the blurred background
, i believe the shot would have been better if the focus point was shifted from the leaves in the foreground to the two lilies in the middle..

Hello, Peter. Prabh is right, the focus is at the bottom, on the leaves, buds and water there. I'm sorry to be negative because you say you thought it had come out well, but there is very little detail in the two main white lilies, centre and left. I hope you have the opportunity to try this again, and would suggest filling your frame with the lilies, leaving out the water in the top background, and trying to get at least one or two of the flowers focused on and sharp. It's a good idea to keep your exposure down, as you did here, because the whites can easily burn out and lose detail. Attempt the picture at a time when the sun is not intense, as that will assist too.
