Following a bit of commando crawling through a field I was treated to this lovely encounter in the last light of Sunday…they were a bit confused as they obviously could smell me but couldn’t see me, hence them not running directly away from me.. which was nice ![]()
Thanks for looking and the cc’s on yesterday’s Fly

Excellent timing and capture Jon. I like the crop too

Hi Jon,
I've seen many shots of Roe running but this must rank as one of the best.
To get the doe and fawn is a real bonus and especially the way they're both caught mid-stride.
The warm lighting on the deer puts this up another level and the panoramic crop works superbly.
Excellent shot.

Truly beautiful Jon, with some wonderful motion, great composition and the lovely warm light.
Hope you don't mind me being overly critical, but my one little niggle is that the whites of the eyes are too distinct for me, maybe just from catching the light. Think I'd prefer them toned down just a little, so that they don't instantly grab your attention

Beautiful shot and well deserved award john, stunning colours and light
