Ely Cathedral

Ely Cathedral by RogBrown

Is that the cathedral, or Ely? Wink

Love this, would think about adding some soft blur to give it an ethereal look.

Utterly gorgeous, I suppose there was stuff you had to crop out, it looks a bit tight, would like to see more room around it.

Lovely picture, to me it looks a little oversharpened? Might just be my preference for slightly softer look.

Love this, like your B&W reportage stuff!

for some reason this really appeals to me, the start contrast of sky, earth, water, with a glimpse of mountain in the background, very raw and primative feel, not trying to be 'arty' but you can almost feel the water and smell the damp soil. Makes me want to be there!

Lizzy by AntoineSW

Lovely dog, shame a bit blurry but I hope you will post some more.

Love the backlighting on these! Reminds me I want to try this with the neighbouring ponies.

Night by rontear

This is gorgeous. Makes me want to explore Svolver (wherever it is!)

Boudica by JadeClark

Oh my goodness! I can't believe you have a dog called Boudica - what a fab name, and a fab dog!

Spindrift by ramrod35

Just brilliant!

I love the shallow DOF. I see from the Exif you used a 1.4 max aperture lens, but on f4.5. Do primes with larger max apertures produce this lovely shallow DOF even at smaller apertures as a rule, I don't understand why?

A beautiful working on the exposure - very skilled.

Linda by rhobbie

great series, and I've looked up your Belgian inspiration.

Esmeralda by rhobbie

'even with freckles'??! I love the fact that she has a face with texture, lines and irregularities. Much more beautiful than the airbrushed blandity of what passes as a portrait for many. This is a real person, and a fantastic photo. Love it.

Nice shot, but I can't help wanting to see what the colour version would look like, seems to be missing something in B&W
