After spending a day trying to practice the tips for action dog shots in the dog photography book I'm reading, I'm realising how tricky it is. On shutter priority, for at least 1/250 (pref higher) to freeze action, but no good if the light levels are not high! So most pics came out underexposed (until I remembered to change ISO). Trying to get 'feet off the ground' this is not one of the best but it's to see the tale end of 2005 out with a few glasses of wine and bit of grub (after I've taken the dog out yet AGAIN! Never tires, he does...) Happy New Year everyone.

know how difficult it is as I have 2 collies - maybe it would help if we traded them in for something slower !!
Can we have the coming into 2006 one next??
Great shot, love the way he is running into the image, with the path leading your eye through. Paul
Hi SUS, u said if u click higher shutter than it goes underexpose. But i can open your apperture. If u give a small number of apperture that means big amount of apperture u can have good light and the depth of field is also good and artistic.
I think if u would give a big aperture and it would be more beautiful.... by the way now its not bad..... i like the curves on the grass and the position of the pet in golden section.....

What a super shot! Lifes never boring with a border collie! (Our family joke used to be "... bordering on what, we're not sure", but ours wasn't pure bred) Gorgeous dog, well caught!
