Visited the Wildwood to photograph the bluebells, but I was disapointed the rain seems to have flattened them and they are not as prolific as they have been in previous years. I did find a rather unusual fungus which I belive is a Jew's Ear or Auricularia-judae, I have gathered and eaten these in their more mature state but never seen one as 'jelly'like as this.

Hi Barbs I don't reccommend anyone eats fungi they are not absolutely sure about but we were withLeon Lewis A Vegetarian cheff who lives locally and provides Forraging days with lunch at his house after a super experience

A beautiful presentation, Susan. There are many fungi that grow here that are edible, but unfortunately I don't know what is edible and what isn't Sad Carol

Good shots Susan.
Although I find your ear in V2 a bit worrying.
It brings back memories of the Mike Tyson fight,
where he just about bit that poor guys ear off !!
