Taking a break from the Saltwick Dawn shots and going to try this one for size. Taken whilst walking around the engine sheds at Grosmont with Dave.
The hi-vis jackets are a requirement in the yard, health and safety dictate this, so I prefer to work with them photographically, rather than trying to fight them.
I just had to wait for the bloke wearing it to get into a suitable position to have it reflected in this composition. Shortly afterward he moved to a different engine to get that one ready.
Not a lovely sunrise this one and probably not for the masses, so cheers if you made it to here ... have a great weekend.
Paul

Fish don't sink mate, they bob.
There ya go new title, 'Bob the Goldfish' and on Charlottes pic today is 'Dennis the Dragonfly' wow it's a cool kind o' day.
I'm real good fanks, in one of my funny moods today, I missed a course of tablets yesterday.
It's very good indeed, Paul.
That splash of colour in a largely monotone image really works a treat.
A great opportunity well seen and well taken, and makes an impressive and gritty change from your landscape shots.
Must have been quite liberating not to have been burdened by walking around with your portable Great-Light-and-Tremendous-Sky-with-added-Ocean-and-Lighthouse Machine... !
(Your car must humungous!!!)
Cheers
Bill
PMSL @ Bill ... I tow it behind, it won't fit in the boot. Cost a fortune to put some running gear onto it though
This type of photography I like, it recharges my batteries and gives me a buzz.
Take the tablet now Simon, there's a good boy ![]()
Cheers all,
Paul
You could always get 'er indoors (or is she outdoors at the mo?) to carry it for you!
What, she's back already? I thought she was exiled in Leeds! ![]()
I like it a lot paul, reckon a head showing in the reflection would have perfected it but then you'll probably disagree ![]()
Still gets my vote though....
Better get the dinner shopping started, then ![]()
And the wine shopping....![]()
Looking for the out of the ordinary is what makes this hobby of ours so much fun. Well spotted and the wait for the moment was worth the effort. Nice splash of colur in this otherwise monochrome image.
Dougie
you could have made your own wet patch to make the puddle bigger!! ![]()
Very well spotted and executed Paul not sure about the dripping water(?) down the centre wheel though, probably because its in focus and the wheel isn't if you see what I mean.
Darren.
Extremely well spotted and captured. A very exciting excellent photograph.

Invite me one day then, problem solved!!
Mind you, it would have to be a really wide puddle as well ![]()
Like it a lot BTW
I think it is a great sunrise, one of your best.Well seen Paul.
Tom.
It's not selective colour per sé Steve, just a dark oily environment with a splash of bright colour. If you look, there are some very small patches of colour dotted around. Cheers though.
Thanks too David and a huge ta for your UA, I never expected to get one ... let alone two ![]()
LOL ... sunrise indeed Tom ![]()
Thanks all,
Paul
