stunning photograph. lovely addition to the wedding album
Jeez, to think I used to wear baseball pumps... He should be shot for that.
Otherwise I quite like this. The flash placement is spot on, giving nice texture and detail on her dress without overexposure and it fortuitously continues his shadow onto the bridge structure almost seamlessly. The couple are well lit and I do enjoy the lightpainting as well. Not too intrusive, it seems as though you have done just the right amount to enhance the shot.
You could do a nice panoramic crop if you get rid of the sky to below that bright white spot and I think that makes a more powerful composition. In fact the awful redness of the sky is my only major gripe, so it goes some way towards diminishing that as well. Have you thought of gelling the flash Tungsten and using tungsten WB to see if that gives the sky a nice bluey shade instead?
There are two other things that are weak. Firstly, that her hair is covering her face so you can't really see her. But then again, you can't see his face either.
Secondly, and much more important, is that building sprouting from under her chin. It looks like gross nose art dripping from her face. A few inches to the right and you'd have had her face in the open space by St. Pauls.
Anyway, a brave effort and well done. Some tweaking and it would be an absolute stunner.
Thanks for the input Goggz.
Like shot but agree about the crop
