Big thanks again to StevieB for lending me his macro lens - very pleased with a whole range of abstract shots from this little session. This is a pheasant's feather with a seagull's feather out of focus in the background. It's my first try with this kind of lens so all comments and suggestions very gratefully received.

Handheld
Natural light plus some fill-in flash
Other than that no work apart from a tweak in levels and a slight crop on the left.

For some reason I've not been given the 'mod' option when uploading, and neither have you got the large version! Perhaps there's a glitch ..

Thank you for dropping by! I appreciate any and all comments and find them all useful and valuable, whether you want to leave a couple of words or a longer constructive criticism. So, in the spirit of non-competitiveness I wonít click on any comments on this pic but would invite anyone who visits to mark the comments they feel are helpful. Iíll do the same when I visit other portfolios, of course.Smile

I like the blurred contrast and the detail in the shot.

I recognised the pheasant feather but the dof is too shallow to even hazard a guess at what lies behind! So thanks for the info.

No Davie - I've renewed it and am a member. And I had the option to choose the background ..

Many thanks everyone for the feedback.

(LOL Roy! I don't think so ..)
