Did some experimental stuff on some tulips at the Rowardennan Meet - here's one of them. Been playing around with some framing ideas with a plan for a series of these with a range of colours.

Beautifully presented image - the lighting and angle of shot is lovely

An attractive image both in terms of composition and colour.
Nick
I can see this framing working as part of a series, like the composition and your delicate colours. Only thing that detracts is the OOF stem in the bottom left.. draws a little too much attention for me.

Thanks Mark
Do you think if the rest of the stems in that area were blurred it would work better? Or narrow the aperture a little ..
Actually there's a lot of stem there, isn't there. Maybe it needs trimming a little so there's not so much of it in the foreground.
Much appreciated ![]()
You could narrow it a bit, but bring your focus point a bit closer too, to keep the softness at the back.. but overall i'd say, yeah, a little too much stem ![]()
Would it be possible to have just the flowers in focus? THe background cloth looks great, all fuzzy like, but that bit below the bloom is a bit annoying 'cos it's sharp. I have no idea how you'd achieve that other than with a blur tool in PS!
Otherwise this looks really nice Suzi ![]()
Cheers, Goggz
