Recently took a trip to Bristol Zoo, where just for a change one of the Red Pandas was out & about, not curled up fast asleep in a tree, as they usually are. This little chap is the male of the pair, sadly the female decided not to show herself, but he certainly made up for it, scent marking all round his pen & posing beautifully. I could have watched him all day!!
Thanks everyone for the kind comments on my latest uploads....Loved the comment from 'Tomcat' made me laugh....Anyway hope you like it....Warmest regards to all...Sue x

Maybe he could send a message to Edinburgh Zoo's red pandas - they're either very shy or very lazy, or maybe both!!

Anyway, well done on the timing to catch that cute, pink tongue!

A lovely, clear, sharp shot

i've got the same lens, and find it difficult to take sharp shots at the 300mm end cos of camera shake, so you've done very well

Thanks for your comments....Phil I never screw the lens right out to 300mm, I always take it back a touch, or if you need the full 300 use a tripod (as Ade is always telling me!!) Sue

Hi Sue, these are always tough to capture...no different at Marwell...always asleep or constantly on the move.

Take care

Beautiful image the detail is amazing, they are always asleep or hiding when i'm at the zoo, like you said, so it's nice to see one this close, well captured!!
