Wonderful capture! Well done.
A excellent capture
Simply amazing! Superb timing, wonderful colours, a top class image. Carol
Wow, excellent capture
Cracking capture Alan. Great action and timing on this, captured to perfection. Might have given a try to increase the canvas size and give just a little more space to the top to finish it off. This will get a 10 in print for sure
Not really anything to criticize here! My only suggestion would be to crop away about half of the space behind the bird, where not much is happening, and add a bit more at the top so that wingtip doesn't come so close to the edge of the frame.
A fab shot well taken.
Wow! What an excellent bit of timing on your part. This must surely be one of your best ever yet!
Thanks for kind remarks. This is how it came out of the camera, I agree had it not been full frame I could have done better! only had one chance, and paniced to take it!
tip top alarming.
Never seen anything like this before Fantastic
I dont know why you are only putting these up for critic ????
Cant get much better
First class capture Alan. Timing is perfect. A great action shot.
timing spot on well caught.
Wonderful capture - well done !
Superb shot. very shallow dof that puts the eye and beak in sharp focus. I can only suggest composing to allow more space at top and right as in my mod.
Just done a little mod, frame stretching and a crop at the back of the bird, giveís the bird more room in the frame just finishes an already excellent action image.
Superb capture. I cannot critique it as I think its pretty good as is.
Awe Inspiring, wonderfully captured
Itís a great shot, but I would be interested to know the camera setting, aperture, ISO ect.
Well captured Alan.
Brilliant timing - especially good detail in the head where it counts.
I love it
Cracking shot from the kingfisher king

1/400 Lot of movement in this type of shot! F5.6 Would have liked more ISO400 best in the lighting conditions -1.3 ev, colour 5600 400MM with full frame to avoid cropping. 4 meters from the bird. Sony A850 Sony 70-400 lens at full 400mm
