Maybe this should go in the adult section?
They mated 145 yards from the nest, my kingfishers just love to prove the experts ( who say kingfishers only mate by their nest ) wrong!

An incredible capture! I, somehow, think they might be more than 'best mates'. WinkWinkWinkGrin

Fantastic!

Cheers

BRILLIANT

I have yet to see this......keep praying.

On another site I have been documenting my "pursuit " of a Kingy.Found one on a stream and been waiting to get some snaps and been accused of maybe disturbing them and having the Wildlife Act (?) thrown at me...disrupting nesting etc.....think they should see this...they could not give a toss whose watching.

Could I ask if it was from a hide or a place of your own.

Thanks
keith

This must be another pair, I thought today was B-day. As in Birth. Or do they get ready for the next batch this quick. I am really ignorant when it comes to bird matters. Do know these are fabulous captures and very rare. ............Sandy

These photos were taken 22 days ago, the eggs are due to hatch today Friday,
There are two pairs. I only have a licence to photograph at the nest site the older couple,
the female from the last two years, with her new male.
If all goes to plan the next pictures will be the birds taken fish to the young.
They will mate again when the young fledge about 28 days time.
