Hi Alan,
I have no idea why you have put this into the critique gallery especially as you haven't added a description to tell us, the shot is without fault as far as I can see.
If this were mine I would have it printed as big as possible and have it hung on my wall.

Many thanks for your comments. Like last year with my Preening & Defending territory photos, I am thinking of putting this in competition,
I am not a good judge of my own pictures and find comments helpful.
Alan
as the others said, what could you improve? the seasoning of the fish? add garlic?
no just kidding, this is everyone's dream. I couldn't imagine what there is to critizise. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!
The only thing that I can find wrong it was not me having a chance to take a shot like yours excellent shot
mike
I am with the others, Alan, so please be assured that this is first class, and good luck with the compeitition.
This one should do very well in the competition Alan, it will take something special to beat it
Many thanks for your kind comments. I put this in my club competition and it was given 10 out of 10.
Quote: I wonder just how long you waited to get this perfect capture. To get a picture of a kingfisher in such clarity is always amazing, but a pair ... it's fabulous.
Thank you ah64d
I photograph the kingfishers breeding every spring.and update my equipment every year to try and improve my photographs.
The above photo is now on exhibition during January 2013 in Salisbury with the Southern photographic federation.
