A beautifully composed shot with such excellent f.g interest and detail, and how well all the vertical elements through the image balance out. Very nice work.
Ronnie.

Expensive, cultured and very well kept, not the sort of subject we're used to Ian. But then this is no landscape, this is the new world Asia style.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind comments.

Quote: Those blue lights look really interesting.

They were fascinating, Clive - they changed periodically from blue to red. They were in the process of changing colour at the moment this was taken. I thought at first that the darkness at the top of the tubes was due to the ND Grad I was using, but I noticed the same phenomenon on later shots for which no filter was used. So I think the darkness was down to the fact that the colour was in the process of changing at the moment the shot was taken - well, that's my excuse anyway. Smile

I just cant help myself when it's work involving Singapore.Went to see a musical called Mama Mia at the esplanade in the background. The colours are great and so sharp. Well deserved. I have added it to my favourites.

Thanks again, Tony - and many thanks, Ron and Jim.

Jim, 60% of the average rainfall for June fell in 1.5 hours that morning....I had wondered if taking a half-day's holiday that day was such such a good idea!

A lovely image Ian, which wouldn't be half as good without the flower box with the orange flowers perfectly echoing the orange tones in the sky.

Many thanks, Paul.

Looking at it on the monitor at work it doesn't half look flat. A generous pinch of contrast needed, I think. Smile

A super capture Ian, and I love those blue lights, which kind of echo the shape of the skyscrapers (or am I just talking rubbish!!)

From where you have taken this shot, I have memories on every single spot all the way to May Bank and Mandarin Hotel!! And this shot really refreshes those memories and flashbacks. Beautiful indeed, a well deserved award too, looking forward to see more of your half a day fully rained month of June day out Smile

Like Martin above, I like the relationship between the lights and distant tall buildings. The flowers have been put to good use too and overall lead to a beautifully composed image Smile
