Bells in the Woods

I found these on/in the path as I was wandering in the woods---a variety of fungi, minute and plentiful---like little bells!

OH, and this one has fly. I also have one with an ant--for another day!

Re: the apple butter-- Many hands, and each had a job-- someone else cored and chopped the apples.
The re enactors try to be as authentic as possible-- but many of the tools mentioned would definitely speed things up! Thanks all for looking in-- the Apple Butter is delicious!

A few years ago some young adults found little finger sized mushrooms down the hill from my hidden cabin. The whooped and cheered like children at their find. I prefer mushrooms much larger and meatier, without any mind bending effects. Surprising how young adults will risk their health on unknown mushrooms and or drugs.
Your image here deserves many votes. I have taken mushroom photos and know from trying that your photo is way above average. TG

Lovely tones and such a good pov, and use of the controls to get the shapes receding and defocusing into the distance. This is such an excellent image of colour and shape I think I would also 'lose' the fly.

This is an excellent macro with controlled focusing on the one fungus.
The colours and shapes are very pleasing on the eye.
Your main subject is very beautiful and I would agree
with Dave about the fly.take out the fly and you've got an image
I could hang on a wall and take pleasure in looking at it often.

Says it all and sums it up better than I could have put it, Jenn.
My only comment is I would love to have seen you spread out on the ground getting all close up and personal with this little fellow. You must have been well water-proofed!
