Dungeness, where else, converted to b&w to increase the sense of dereliction.
Many thanks for all your comments on Amber light, with special thanks for their precious UAs to Ron (rontear), Ann (EAS) and Paul (PaulLiley).
I haven't been around much in the last day or two as I've had so much to do and to go to - so apologies if I've only clicked or if I've missed any of your images. The same may be true for the next day or two.
Thanks for looking and for your time - feedback is always welcome, especially when I've converted something to mono!

A great composition Ann, everything working as they should. Love the mono conversion, it really does add that little something.

I'm willing to bet it wouldn't! There was a similarly leaning shed a few miles from here which remained, if far from uoright, year after year. Works so well as a mono.

You've captured it in its process of decay - soon the winds will blow it down and only rubble will be left. Timeless in mono.

The shed and its shadow seem to be stretching forward towards the boat which is shying away. Connections, relationships. Dungeness really is a very strange world.

So many structures on Dungeness lean one way or another: whether fighting against the gale or deferring to it, who can tell? It is endlessly fascinating.
An excellent crop encourages us to enjoy the other factors at play: the line of the shingle ridge and those amazing clouds. A magnificent ensemble.

Bill

A wonderful mono Ann.
The leaning hut with it's bright white, the boat and the puffy clouds tempered by shadows
and textures gives a good tonal range.

Your monochrome conversion is very good Ann, good contrast and tones which is the heart of good b&w for me. The composition is very good too wuth the line of clouds across the sky holding the image together nicely. I know how the old shed feels hanging over as it does, we get that way with age and blow with the wind.
