...the air was as still as the water and the mist muffled the sounds of birds and the road a hundred yards or so away behind me.
***last of the week back Monday.
beautiful and serene!
Like the stillnes in this Dougie, have a good weekend
I like the way this makes the eye travel along the far shore. I wonder why you haven't uploaded as a full pano?
Enjoy your weekend.
Moira, I find they are not popular with many because you have to scroll across the wide image, so just the effect here.
Stunning reflections on this one Dougie!
Subdued mono Dougie, but very photogenic !!
Cool, Calm, Quiet: seems ideal to me!
Have a great week-end, Dougie!
I think you were right Dougie...it will take a while.

Peaceful and very cold looking. Beautiful. Moira
This is very atmospheric, the more so with your description Dougie. Love the mist veiling the hills. Have a great weekend!
Gorgeous shot !!!.....faultless !!!!
Just wish I could achieve mono results like this Dougie! Ann.
A magical scene, one you could gaze at for ages! Thanks for your observation on my image, Dougie. It's always good to have other people's views.
Thanks for your User Award Ron always a great pleasure to get an award from a fellow photographer.
Perfect with the calm water making such excellent reflections
Still, quiet & lovely. Top class mono.
Exquisite Dougie! Ann.
This is amazing. The reflection in the lochan are clearer than the mountains above. Excellent composition.
I love the tones and the reflections Dougie; a beautiful image!
Amazing image, and has worked so beautifully in mono
Well that's a big surprise on a sunday evening Lillian, may thanks for both your User Award and the nice comment.
A beautifully balanced composition Dougie. Perfect as a panoramic. Very well done.
Clever going for the mono, it works so well with the tones in this image by separating the layers and creating lots of depth. The elongated subject matter really suits the pano frame.
The master of reflections does it again and as almiles say the tones in this are great. Top shot Dougie.
I like the sense of depth and isolation in this Dougie.
