This unusual swan was at the WWT Arundel and I think comes from the west coast of America if I remember correctly. I've given him a bit of a textured background.
Thank you everybody who helped me with their comments on Take one clove... I'm really grateful for the time you took to explain and encourage me with this image. I'll have another attempt, hopefully over the weekend.

One of the most of elegant birds we see, and the portrait is very good indeed. The "patent leather" bill is wonderful.

I see from the exif that you underexposed by 1/3 rd of a stop, I would suggest that with whites, like snow they work better overexposed by 1/3 stop, that tends to give cleaner whites.

Bedstead---- The Round Barn being now a tourist attraction-- one can find many anomalies there-- the bedstead will be a garden bed come spring/summer-- gone to bed now to sleep out the winter! LOL!
