This one comes with a nod to Phil (Backbeat) whose splendid ‘Stitch In Time’ has carved out a little niche somewhere in the dark recesses of my brain where his near neighbors include Robert Crumb’s ridiculous ‘Keep On Trucking’ men. You would have to have been a hippie in the 60s to remember them, and I know there won’t be many of you still prepared to admit to that. ![]()

thanks for the nod eric, but this is far, far superior to the image of mine you mention...
what can i say but absolutely brilliant!!! i dont know how you processed it, but it has a look of a really well drawn pencil portrait..fabulously done
if this doesnt get the recognition it deserves then theres no justice in the world

I see you haven't got your new chairs yet then. In our house we think this is a bit 'Norman Rockwell'. well, Lady Marian does and she's better educated than me. It's a damn fine pic and at last the world can see you as those of us that know you do!

Still laughing ..Sara
Thank you all for these wonderfully enthusiastic comments. I thought I'd got a pretty good one here but your comments have surprised me.
Well done Sara, you beat Mr Pooch by a whole inch and a quarter. Let's hope he doesn't come back with an even longer one.
And Moira, you were the only one to own up. You didn't have to you know. ![]()
Marvellous treatment, I love the low viewpoint and the excellent textures and tones. The quirky pose adds much.
Absolutely brilliant.Love everything about this image.
I can only assume Pete has been too busy with the site change over.
How this missed out on an HC or an EC I will never understand.
Simply oozes

A totally wonderful image - huge grin stuff. Bruce
A magnificent piece of processing Eric, well deserved of all the accolades. Many congratulations...
Dave
this is superb Erk, I love the way you seem to be part of the chair! almost sinking into it's depths.
Congrats on the awards =0)
very much stands out. Fab post processing and the 'acting' is just as strong.
This is gorgeous!!!
Well deserving of the HC award
Helen
One of those shots I keep coming back to look at. It has that slightly surreal feel and look of a Beryl Cook painting. Intrigued as to how you achieved the mono effect in this.
