Black and white version of a colour slide. I used the channel mixer to adjust the tones, and added a touch of unsharp mask.

Tanya this is such a powerful image. I love hands - they are so unappreciated and yet they say so much .. I wonder if the left hand - and the fingertips and fingernails specifically - could maybe be lightened just a tiny smidgeon ..

Thanks Suzi. I love hands too (and feet!). Easier to photograph than draw, though! I'll do another version with the fingertips lightened and put it up for you.

Gosh Tanya you can even see the hairs on the hands so clearly . I too love hands . Where would we be without them .

Well you could not easily do anything without them but some determined souls manage too!,Hands well most of the great artists started by drawing them!, and there are some brilliant study's of hands at prayer and otherwise! and although this is not a drawing a lot of thought has gone into the posture and presentation of these hands, it's a pity some people cannot see that but! some people look! but do not see! to look and see that depends on the person. A very nice study I like it, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
