Welcome to a small corner of my world Grin

Two photographic thoughts that I'm trying to cement into my head at the moment are:

1) "The poor concept, perfectly executed, still makes a poor photograph" (Misha Gordin), and
2) "Technically poor images are like poems written with poor grammar - they may have volumes of insight to convey, but they have difficultly doing it successfully" (Angela Farris Belt).

I may have a way to go, but that's where I'm aiming Smile

Like your portfolio. Some very nice things.

"The poor concept, perfectly executed, still makes a poor photograph" (Misha Gordin),

That's an interesting quote.
....Ansel Adams famously said:

"There's nothing worse than a sharp picture of a fuzzy concept."

I wonder who came first !!! Grin

Hello Tanya, I have just seen some of your work and its pretty stunning all round...nice!...maybe ille be that good one day?

Thanks for your feedback on Ghost 2 and i agree the left hand could do with a little more transparancy, however at it is a single Jpeg shot, the PS programe 'guesses' to a degree what should be transparent and puts it in the shot....you simply tidy up the image at the end....in this case the left hand has a solid background and difficult to achieve full transparancy :-( i may have to re visit the image and have another go?

I only had a few minutes at the end of the shoot plus the model was getting 'itchy' regarding a couple of drunks looking on so the poses i wanted were a bit rushed, therfore anyone trying this technique should perhaps plan very carefully about the pose AND what background they use as to how effective the overall Ghost look will be like at the end.

Happy Snapping Tanya....pixeltrix
