This upload is from one of my very recent shoots.
“The name is Star of Bethalem” ….this is what I was told; would love to know its exact name!!!
It’s a beautiful flower with a lovely scent. It blooms in the night, reaches its full bloom in the midnight hours and by morning it wilts; sadly it blooms for only one night.

Hi Rani, this is an excellent attempt, this is indeed a beautiful flower and very well captured. Normally the white flowers are not that easy to capture but you have taken it very cleanly.. A+ for you but try one thing next time, work on your focus on the subject and the metering mode. I am sure that your next upload would be a cracking one. I know you can be a good photographer.. Good luck for your next cracking upload.. Hurra...

Samar..

Welcome to ePZ! What a stunning flower, Rani,so glad you have captured it to show us. A beautiful image, very well exposed, and so good against the black b/g. Carol

The black bg works well and there's some really good detail and texture in the flower, white is always difficult with white. It's an Epiphyllum, I think and possily E cooperi. Does it also have a lovely perfume, if so, then I have the ID correct!

Welcome to epz.

Love the story on this one and nice shot, maybe a diffuser on the flash would have brought out more detail,
Jack.

Beautiful night bloom. The white petals are pure and crisp against the deep green leaves and dark background.

Tashi, this flower is called Queen of the night. I have one exactly like it. I waited 3 years and it bloomed two months ago. Superb capture by the way.

Thank you Ann, Raja, John ...for the ID of this beautiful flower. "Queen of the Night", "Brahma Kamalam", "E. Cooperi" ... all sound just right.
