Pleased to see the end result after reading the forum thread at the time. I really like the shot, although her legs could be lighter and more detailed on my CRT monitor, especially if her tights are part of the overall look. I'll have a look on the laptop later as photos can be paler on it.
I like it a lot, but I do have to say the stocking design and also the way the legs are modelled in the shot detract from the overall impact. There's so much that's 'right' about this it's a shame that element just doesn't quite come off IMO. Certainly worth a vote, for all that.
The complete shot is beautifully balanced in both composition and light. Wonderful model and a stare to die for![]()

Thank you all so much for the kind comments and helpful feed back ![]()
I did fail to mention that I deliberately darken the legs, it was a personal preference. There are other shots that accompany this image including a shot of her legs to show the stockings. I did also send them a much plainer version of this photograph, this is a personal edit. I'll remember to give more info in future, but nonetheless, the feed back will be useful for future shoots ![]()
I also agree that less is more and didn't think to crop the candles out in camera. Truth be told, there wouldn't have been much room to compose her without the candles and I wouldn't want to move those candles!!! It was extremely difficult to shoot in the dark, I struggled to focus on her eyes, I just couldn't see them!! Also I hated using the tripod, it felt like I shooting inside a small box, but I did learn to pay more attention to detail before pressing the shutter button.
I will show you some more pics, I didn't take too many with the candles. I couldn't wait to ditch the tripod!
Once again, thank you so much ![]()
