I have always admired a Rex Whistler painting I saw at Plas Newydd on Anglesey, it is a fantasy work comprising of places he has seen in his life collated into this fantastic work. What always gets me is the wet footprints in the work, they looks so real as if someone has stepped out of the work right then...maybe Rex ?

If you work to please yourself you know at least one person is going to be happy... and the chances are others will be too.
This is an entertaining image and it works for me. The strong foreground carries the composition and while it could be said that the footprints are a little over worked, it is a humorous picture so I'd go for that as opposed to subtlety every time.
