Hello Ted!, I don't go with all the posh words! born in Shepherds Bush London W.6. 1936 I know what the war was all about, the spitfire to us was a daily show! my uncle to be flew one, he never came back! he was shot down over France and lost a leg, the Germans looked after him, they even had a wooden leg made for him, but! he said it was his duty to escape which he did twice and got caught! the third time they executed him! I can not remember his name! I was just a child seeing him there with my Aunt in his uniform, I often cry from his memory! my Aunt never married she lived into her80's. I hear that spitfire coming every day of my life. regards Leon.
