You need to use exposure compensation of around +1 for snow scenes like this to ensure the snow turns out white rather than grey. Otherwise its a lovely scene.

If you have Photoshop, open levels, and drag the bottom right slider to the left until the snow looks as it should, - thats all there is to it!
