A male Mandarin duck (Aix galericulata) taken at Arundel WWT yesterday and the first shot of one of these that I have been reasonably satisfied with. As an afterthought, have just uploaded a V2 with the bird cropped in (omitting the reflections) just to give an idea of the detail captured.
Had a wonderful day in the company of Ina (Gezina), Richard(Mossyoak), Alec (Alec1) and Ron(Maiwand) with his wife Betty and granddaughter Victoria, who is also an enthusiastic togger.
Thank you all so much for your great response to my Star Magnolia - really appreciated as always Smile

Love these guys - you have captured the colours beautifully - the rippled reflection adds a lovely depth to your composition.

Didn't you hava a great day for the outing Smile

Excellent crisp, crisp detail and string but natural colours and with a reflection well captured: very well done, Sylvia.

Hi Sylvia, probably one of the prettiest little ducks, beautiful colour and detail here, you should be proud of these,
Geoff.

Immaculate detail captured in this most colourful duck Sylvia - just about prefer V1 for the extra reflections.

The exposure is first class on this Sylvia, showing detail very well in the whites and all round top class. Like the low pov which always adds that extra bit to these waterfowl and brings out a great reflection and tones in the water
First class and deserves higher viewing and comments
