A Hoverfly(Chrysotoxum festivum) settling on a double white clematis flower in our garden.
Settings: F/6.3 1/320sec ISO200 AV@100mm handheld

NB Many thanks to Dave, (Leafhopper) for the ID - its a Scaeva Pyastri - have amended it in V2

Excellent image Sylvia. (ID : Scaeva Pyastri, due to the shape of the cream stripes.. similar is the Scaeva selenitica. There are about 250 different species of hover fly in the british Isles alone. )
