A few weeks ago I bought one of the largest Amaryllis Hippeastrum bulbs I have ever seen, described as "Salmon Pink" - this is a shot of it taken just as it was coming into bloom. Best large if you have a moment.
Settings: F/2.8 1/160sec ISO200 AV@45mm handheld

Many thanks for your C&Cs on my last Sparrow upload - very much appreciated as always Smile

A stunning image, Sylvia, what a gorgeous colour, and it stands out so well against the black background. An excellent presentation of a very beautiful amaryllis. Carol

You told me on the phone it was going to be with the 7D Smile
Amazing shot with the G2 and swayed me now to get one. Stunning detail and light and set out with the black bg nicely Sylvia

Tomorrow's (with the flower fully open) will be the 7D Richard - this one was taken with the G2 with the flower in bud before the 7D arrived Wink The 45mm Leica Elmarit macro lens with the G2 is quite impressive (and very light!)

Superb shot, Sylvia, and one I'd be proud to have in my collection. The colours and detail are fabulous and of course the black b/g does throw the subject forward so well.
