Just a Common Starling (Sturnus vulgaris), unfortunately choosing to perch on the top of a feeder pole. A full frame capture taken in our garden last month.

Many thanks for your great support of my last upload, with a special thank you to Malcolm (M_Squared) for his User Award - really appreciated Smile

Wonderful shot in great light, Sylvia!.......in my biased opinion that is the loveliest of backgrounds, totally blurred but with different textures, light and colours....but still totally blurred!!!, superb!, you captured the iridescent colours too (which is the essence of the Starling.......as well as it's boisterous, Gnarly behaviour and ear splitting calls lol), eye contact and great details, brilliant image!Smile

What a beauty Sylvia, the beautiful irridescent colours in the feathers have been recorded in such intricate detail and I like the clear, uncluttered background

They are such beautiful birds, I've never seen one close up, but now I really want to!
