A full frame capture of a female GSW (Dendrocopos major) taken in the garden the other day. She chose to perch in an unfortunate position and is therefore up for mods to see if anybody could successfully remove the diagonal branch - or perhaps it doesn't detract? Would be interested to hear your views.
The red background is provided by the now denuded red acer shrub.
My thanks to you all for your C&Cs on yesterday's Robin upload, with a big THANK YOU to Luke (lukeparkinson) for his UA and to Carol(CarolG) for her UA on "Butter wouldn't melt" and to Dave(JohnJo) for his UA on "Autumn Goldfinch" - really brightened up my week and greatly appreciated
