This little Robin (Erithacus rubecula) was having quite a job staying upright in the strong winds yesterday! Taken in the garden against a background of the newly emerged foliage of a red acer shrub.

Many thanks for your overwhelming support of yesterdays upload, with a special thank you to Polli(Pollisher) and Lillian (Lillian) for their User Awards - delighted to receive them and highly valued Smile

Most birds like their feathers smoothed and flattened Sylvia but this litle fella seems to be thoroughly enjoying a blast of cool breeze. Delightful shot.GrinGrin

A delightful image of this lovely little robin braving the elements, I think she's attempting to recreate that famous Marilyn Monroe photograph for you!WinkGrin I knew this was yours straightaway, it was the red acer as a background that gave it away!Grin

Funnily enough Malcolm I was toying with the idea of calling this image "Lady in Red" but wasn't sure whether this little robin was a boy or a girl GrinGrinGrin

A robin in a raa raa skirt! Not something you see every day and stands out from the thumbnails as such. Has your usual excellent sharpness and shallow DoF to boot.
