Another shot of one of the Great Spotted Woodpeckers (Dendrocopos major) who frequents our garden. The colder weather seems to make them hungrier and therefore less shy.

Settings: F/5.6 1/800sec ISO160 @700mm manual tripod

Super light and detail Sylvia. Not the best or natural of perches but hey i cant even get them to stop for me, jealous....yep...sure am...lol
Superb garden capture. Sneak out and stick a silver birch stump about 10 feet high in the garden next to the feeders....
