A Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius) lurking high up amongst the thinning leaves in the tall trees bordering our garden. Still hoping he might come down at some stage to give me a shot in the open!
Many thanks for your support of yesterday's upload with a big THANK YOU to Kev(Goodley), Ann(Pluckyfilly), Brian (bricurtis) and Ed (Glostopcat) for their User Awards - very encouraging and highly valued and appreciated ![]()

Very jealous of this - have been close to photographing them on a couple of occasions...my time will come ![]()
Excellent photography - just love the natural background too. They should be visiting gardens more this Winter apparently due to the poor 'natural food harvest' this year. Keep tempting him in Sylvia ![]()

Such a shy bird and one I have always found difficult to get Sylvia, so envious of this one. I really like the natural framing and showing it in its environment which compliments it so well. The tones and detail are first class as is the all important eye

A terrific image of this shy and often elusive bird, the detail and colours in the plumage are immaculate. I've not had any joy photographing them, whenever I'm at the Botanical Gardens in Bath with camera they do not show up and when I don't have it they come up close and pose!![]()
Shy birds bit very pretty if you can get one on cam, well done Sylvia
